SPED Playdates

SPED Kind Connections Playgroup will be coming to AOE's playground on Monday, March 9, 2026 from 3-4 pm! All students are invited to this fun parent-led event featuring games, music and dance, and social and inclusion opportunities. 

Restaurant Night

Burgers, shakes, fries and a “fun”-draiser! Join us for our next Restaurant on Thursday, March 12, 2026, from 4-8 pm at Ruby's Diner in the Carlsbad Outlets. The class with the most attendance at the fundraiser will receive “make your own sundae” certificates. Good luck!

Make sure to show your flyer and mention AOE--20% of proceeds go back to our school.

Musical Production of The Lion King Jr.

Rehearsals with the entire cast continue every Tuesday and Thursday, after school until 4pm, in the AOE Auditorium. Remember to wear your musical t-shirts to school every Thursday for Musical Spirit Thursdays!

5th Grade Promotion Fundraiser - Sky Zone

Get ready to jump high, Eagles, and mark your calendars for a fun-filled fundraiser supporting our 5th Grade Promotion! Join us Friday, March 27 for an exciting afternoon of jumping at Sky Zone Carlsbad.

Come by anytime between 3-10pm with GLOW from 8-10, check in at Sky Zone, and mention you’re with AOE. Sky Zone will donate 30% of proceeds to our Fifth Grade Promotion.

Please note:

• Memberships will not count toward the fundraiser. Only standard pass purchases will go toward the fundraiser.
• Bring your own Sky Zone socks or purchase.
• If planning to go to GLOW wear either white, neon or purchase a shirt at SkyZone. 
• ***This event is benefiting 5th Grade Promotion but is for ALL GRADES to enjoy***

Mother Son Event

Nothing but net! Join us on Saturday, March 28 for the AOE Mothers and Sons Event—a special night just for the boys and their moms or guardian of choice—as we cheer on the San Diego Clippers! From jersey giveaways to the high-five tunnel, it’s going to be a slam dunk of a night.

We’ve got a charter bus, with limited seats available. Departure is at 5:30 PM from Aviara Oaks Elementary. The game begins at 7:00 PM, and the bus will return from Frontwave Arena after the game (approximately 9:45 PM).

Yearbook Photo Submission Guidelines

We’d love your help creating a yearbook that reflects our entire school community. Please follow the guidelines below when submitting photos:

✅ High-quality photos only

Clear, well-lit images work best. Please avoid blurry, dark, or heavily filtered photos.

✅ Group photos preferred

Photos with multiple students are encouraged whenever possible. Images where children are looking at the camera are ideal.

✅ Choose your best photos

Please do not upload multiple versions of the same photo. Select 1–2 favorites per moment or event.

✅ Upload to the correct folder

Be sure photos are added to the appropriate class, grade, or event folder in Google Drive.

✅ Help us represent everyone

We aim to include as many students as possible. Please be mindful to submit photos that show a variety of children—not just the same few faces.

✅ Candid school moments welcome

Classroom activities, field trips, performances, assemblies, spirit days, and school events are all great submissions.
