Adopt-A-Family

Aviara Oaks proudly supports the Adopt-A-Family program each year, providing gifts to local families in need during the Holiday Season.

Participation is optional.

If You Wish to Participate

• Adopt-A-Family flyers will come home in mid-November.
• Each classroom is assigned to one family in need.
• Your student is assigned a number, which corresponds to one member of the family in need. Please shop for a gift for that individual.
• Label your gift using the info from on your flyer: Family # and recipient (boy/girl & age.)
• Bring your unwrapped labeled gift to school, drop in the designated box inside your classroom.

Tips on Gift Buying

• Family "Special Requests" on the flyer are optional. Add "Special Request Item" to your label if you purchase one of these.
• You can team up with classmates to buy more expensive items, like bikes.
• Take advantage of Black Friday sales, and clearance sales throughout the year.
• You don't need to limit yourself to what is on the flyer. Home goods, books, toiletries, gift certificates (please write the amount on the envelope) are always great items to give.
• Remember, this is about our students sharing with those in need to build up the Carlsbad Community.

Thank you for your generosity!  AOE is proud to share the joy of giving with Carlsbad's less fortunate families.
