Spelling Bee

All students in grades 1-5 are invited to participate in AOE's Annual Spelling Bee. The spelling bee is an excellent way for AOE students to participate in a fun competition and stretch their spelling skills. 

Aviara Oaks Elementary 17th Annual Spelling Bee

Please sign-up for the spelling bee in advance to allow the PTA time to prepare for each student participant.  Please email Tricia Walsh at spellingbee@aoepta.org if you have questions.

Wednesday, March 4

• 4th Grade: 3:00pm

• 5th Grade: 4:00pm

Thursday, March 5

• 1st Grade: 2:00pm

• 2nd Grade: 3:00pm

• 3rd Grade: 4:00pm 

   

VOLUNTEERS NEEDED

We need volunteers! Please contact Tricia Walsh (spellingbee@aoepta.org) if you are interested in volunteering as an announcer, judge, photographer or student coordinator. (You cannot announce nor judge for your students’ bee—but can do it for another grade level.)

• All students in grades ONE through FIVE are encouraged and welcome to participate.
• Teachers will not conduct classroom preliminary rounds to determine finalists.
• We recommend that students are accompanied by an adult unless the student goes to KidsCare. Please notify KidsCare about your child's participation in the Spelling Bee so they can drop-off and pick-up the students from the auditorium. 
• Please do not share these words with anyone outside of the AOE community.
