Volunteering

Whether you have a busy schedule or large blocks of time, there are many opportunities to make the lives of kids Aviara Oaks better. It doesn't matter if you travel for work, work from home, or parent 24-7, there's a place for you! When we commit to doing just a little each year, we accomplish a lot as a group!

Volunteer Applications

It's easy to start volunteering at Aviara Oaks and it starts with filling out a volunteer application in the front office. This needs to be completed each year. Let the PTA know what your Volunteer Interest and Skills are by contacting the PTA President at president@aoepta.org.

Volunteer Opportunities

My Skills & Interests

Take a look at the opportunities available to volunteer this year and check any that match your interest, skills, and availability. Whether it is at home while watching TV or helping in the classroom for a couple of hours a month, your little bit can make a big difference in our community. Jobs of all sizes include:

  • Helping the Specialty Teachers and Librarian or maybe work with Mr Hines in Dad's Club or reading with students.
  • Heading up a PTA Team We are still in need of filling a few positions in the PTA.
  • Grade Level Opportunities Want to assist the Jogathon or Science Day? Maybe being a grade photographer is your passion?

Let the PTA know what you are interested in doing today.

Leadership Roles

Do you care about people and enjoy making things happen? Leadership may be a good fit for you! Let us know you are interested in seeing what positions are available (or will be soon):

Why Volunteer?

  • Many hands make light work. Dividing up tasks help maintain a volunteer level that you are comfortable with.
  • Reduces team stress levels. Fulfilling a small job for a committee can mean a world of difference to the chairperson and your stress levels. Plus, friendships are often made.
  • Increases program longevity. Chairpersons having a strong support team leads toward a program returning the next year. (Remember, we didn't have a Musical last year? The PTA had arranged to hire an outside theater teacher, but did not because we had no volunteers.)
  • Get to know your school better. Be a part of the conversation that forms what the PTA does and get to know teachers and staff at a more personal level.
