Adopt-A-Family

Aviara Oaks proudly supports the Adopt-A-Family program each year, providing gifts to local families in need during the Holiday Season.
Each classroom is assigned a family, and buying groups are created by student number. While your student is assigned to a buying group, participation is optional.
Father Daughter Dance

The Annual Father Daughter Dance is a fun "date night" for dads (or grandpas or uncles) and AOE daughters.
The night consists of music provided by a live DJ, contest for our best dancing dads, a sweet treat, photo booths, and so much more. Dress your best and enjoy this lovely evening with your favorite AOE Daughters.
Fifth Grade Events

The end of Fifth Grade is one of the most exciting points of your elementary students' school career. AOE parents plan a week full of fun to commemorate the milestone and celebrate your 5th grader. These events take place toward the end of the school year.

Mom and Son Event

Moms and sons get to enjoy special time together at our mom and son event. Past events have included baseball games, soccer games and laser tag.
Musical

If you are interested in volunteering as a part of the Musical Planning Committee, please contact us! We are looking for members interested in designing and building sets, assembling props, creating/teaching choreography, attending rehearsals to help teach music and staging, handling communications, managing snack sales, and many other functions. Auditions occur in the fall and the musical takes place in the spring.
Red Ribbon Week

Reflections Art Program

National PTA hosts the annual Reflections Art Program, which provides opportunities for recognition and access to the arts which boost student confidence and success in the arts and in life.
Each year, over 300,000 students in Pre-K through Grade 12 create original works of art in response to a student-selected theme. This 50+ year-old program helps them explore their own thoughts, feelings and ideas, develop artistic literacy, increase confidence and find a love for learning that will help them become more successful in school and in life.
Science Day

Science Day is all science, all day for all students! We will turn each classroom into a lab room and students will spend the day rotating through four different hands-on, STEM based activities. Science Day is proudly sponsored by your AOE PTA and funded in-part by a grant from the Carlsbad Educational Foundation.
Science Fair

All students in grades K-5 are invited to participate in AOE's Annual Science Fair. Participation in the science fair stimulates a student’s interest in scientific investigation beyond what is taught in the classroom. Through research, experimentation, visual exhibits, and presentations, the science fair offers students a unique opportunity to expand their knowledge and skills. The Science Fair is proudly sponsored by your AOE PTA and funded in-part by a grant from the Carlsbad Educational Foundation.
Spelling Bee

All students in grades 1-5 are invited to participate in AOE's Annual Spelling Bee. The spelling bee is an excellent way for AOE students to participate in a fun competition and stretch their spelling skills. Click here for more information!
Variety Talent Show

The Annual AOE Variety Talent Show is a showcase of the amazing talents of AOE Students. Open to grades 1st - 5th, student perform in individual and group numbers.
Veterans Day - Support Our Troops

Join AOE as we Support Our Troops! Support Our Troops Week occurs during Veterans Day week and includes a flag raising ceremony and reception for veterans and active duty personnel of the U.S. Military and Allies. Cub Scouts and Girl Scouts are invited to wear their uniforms to school for this event. A collection drive also takes place during the week for Our Heroes Journey, an organization that gives support to active and veterans San Diego soldiers that are in need after deployments and/or service to our country.
