Why Join PTA?

When you purchase a PTA membership through AOE PTA each year, you help provide educational and enrichment programs that Aviara Oaks kids enjoy.

You also provide advocacy for children at the local, state, and national level. When you join PTA, you also become a member of the California PTA (www.capta.org) and National PTA (www.pta.org). Together we form the largest child advocacy group in the nations and have a powerful voice in government, both locally and nationally.

Many benefits our children receive from PTA membership are universal kindergarten, the National School Lunch Program, our juvenile justice system and reduced mandatory state testing, all accomplished as a result of PTA's commitment to kids. Children do not have the same power as adults, which is why advocacy has always been a big part of PTA's mission. Learn more here and here. 

If you have students at other CUSD schools, we encourage you to join their PTAs, also. Being a PTA member at any school does not require volunteering.

Who can be a PTA Member? 

Any human, regardless of where you live. Parents, students, grandparents, business owners friends... etc.
