Candy Cane Grams are now on sale!
Spread a little holiday cheer to your friends and classmates, while supporting our Fifth Grade Promotion. Buy one for $2, five for $8, or the whole class for $25!
Deadline to purchase is Friday, December 12, 2025, at noon. Candy Cane Grams will be delivered Wednesday, December 17, 2025.

Science Fair
Do you love science and engineering? Participate in the Science Fair on Thursday, January 15, in the AOM Auditorium!
Application deadline has been extended to Friday, December 19.

Variety Show
Mark your calendars because the countdown to liftoff has begun! Our 2026 "Out of This World" Variety Show will take place on Thursday, January 29, 2026, in the AOM Auditorium.
Variety Show Dates to Remember:
Auditions: Wednesday, January 14 & Thursday, January 15
Practice: Wednesday, January 21 & Thursday, January 22
Dress Rehearsal: Wednesday, January 28
School Performance: Thursday, January 29 8:30am (check in at 8:00am)
Public Performance: Thursday, January 29 6:00pm (check in at 5:30pm)

5th Grade Promotion Fundraisers

Spirit Wear
Team is kicking off Festive Fridays in December! All students will receive elf hats, and TK/Preschool students will receive Santa hats. These will be handed out on Friday, December 12.

Lunchtime Club Parent Volunteers Needed: If you are interested in volunteering your time and sharing your passion or talents during different lunch periods, please send a Parent Square message or email to our counselor, Mrs. K at olivia.kleinrath@carlsbadusd.net. We are looking for parent advisors for lunchtime clubs. Last year we hosted a Craft Maker’s Table for 1st and 2nd graders, Chess Club for 4th and 5th graders, and a Beading, Weaving and More Club for 3rd, 4th, and 5th graders, and this year we're excited to see what clubs we can offer thanks to all of you who would like to volunteer. What about a Throwback Games Thursdays Club…anyone open to jacks, checkers, double dutch, hand games, and kendamas (is that old school already?)
Join the AOE Career Crew! We are looking for parent volunteers to sign up for our new AOE Career Crew! This is a speakers bureau for any future career exploration activities and events at AOE. If this sounds interesting to you, please fill out this form.
